BOOK FILE

Fact-check the giraffe comparison later.

Colin likes strange measurements, internet facts, jokes, and narwhals. The book explicitly warns that you cannot believe everything you read online, which is inconvenient for some of Colin's favorite statistics.

SCHOOL PAPER

The Crest becomes useful cover.

Colin writes for the school paper, giving Dewey and Seraphina a plausible explanation for asking questions about the Fairchild family's possible move.

MISADVENTURE FILES

The dentist was supposed to be a disguise.

FILE 01

Three years overdue.

Colin agrees to use his long-delayed dental checkup as cover while helping investigate Don Fairchild's workplace.

FILE 02

Unfortunately, dentistry occurs.

Dr. Bernard discovers that Colin needs a tooth extracted instead of the simple cleaning everybody expected. The surveillance mission becomes considerably more personal.

FILE 03

Split up and listen.

Colin and Seraphina divide the dental office, gather information separately, and later compare notes for Dewey.

FRIENDSHIP FILE

This is a lot to do for somebody else's dad.

Colin and Seraphina repeatedly accept inconvenience, embarrassment, and actual dental consequences to help Dewey solve the Alaska problem. At the end, Dewey's first reaction to learning the family will stay is to tell them.

RED-FOLDER NOTE

The television file turns up the Colin.

Development material describes Colin as goofy, socially effortless, popular across groups, and exactly the person you want at a party or on your team.
